Our Vision
The Federation of Forestry & Allied Cooperatives Ltd. (FACFED) is committed to building a sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous future for forest-dependent communities across India. We envision a future where rural populations are not just surviving but thriving, empowered with equitable access to natural resources and fortified by strong cooperative institutions. Our ultimate goal is to foster communities that are resilient to the impacts of climate change, where the well-being of people and the planet are inextricably linked.
Our Mission
Our mission is to lead by example in promoting responsible forestry, agroforestry, and a range of allied eco-friendly ventures. We achieve this by actively supporting our member cooperatives through collective action. We aim to ensure the socio-economic well-being of our communities and maintain a vital ecological balance. We accomplish this by fostering innovation and adopting sustainable practices, strengthening capacities through education and training, and actively engaging in policy advocacy that safeguards the interests of both people and the planet.
